Samples are sold at retail price with payment due before delivery. If designing a new item, the price of the prototype will usually be higher than the unit price once the design is confirmed.

Custom designs can be created, however be aware it is a longer process and requires ongoing communication with the artisan or even journeys to work with them. Exact samples are best, through experience we have found our artisans cannot work very well from a sketch. We may need to have an expert make a prototype, therefore adding cost to create the first sample. Fabric labels can be sewn on products, We ask you acknowledge the product was made in Laos.

Minimum orders are usually 20 pieces with the same colour and same design, however this, too, depends on the product and can be discussed. Orders over 30 items may not be absolutely consistent in colour due to the handmade nature of the product and the different people who may have to work on the same order.

Maximum Orders for best likeness are around 30-50 pieces, especially with textiles to create same colour. Hand-made products will never be identical. however the most likeness is achieved when the same weaver works on the same loom with the same warp yarn.

Time For Production is usually a minimum of one month and can stretch to two months.

Deposit Payment is required for orders over 30 pieces or US$300, 40% of order, to be made before production begins.

Full Payment is required before shipment. Payment is by wire transfer, and buyer bears all bank charges. Paypal payment is also available, merchant fess apply.

Shipping is by DHL, EMS or by Lao Air Post. Lao Air Post boxes are around 35x45x80cm maximum and approx. 20kilos. Prices for your destination are available upon request, and shipment takes approximately two weeks. DHL & EMS can ship in three to five days.

Certification that products are Lao handicrafts is provided via the Luang Prabang Chamber of Commerce, along with packing list and receipts for shipment. Check with your countries customs terms, many offer favourable status for Lao goods.
