Katu Glass Bead Weaving Class
Two Katu sisters from Salavan Province in Southern Laos, practicing an ancient style of decoration involving glass beads in the warp of the weave. This cloth is traditionally used for special occasions with certain patterns and designs available only from their family. You will learn to weave on the backstrap loom which is not used in other parts of Laos.
Weave 1 belt or 1 camera Strap
Duration: 4 hours, depending on skill level

When: 9am

Does not include transport, can walk there from downtown but if necessary we can arrange transport at additional cost.
Weave a full scarf with beaded border

Cost: $100 per person

When: 9am each day
